Sony to Buy Demon’s Souls Developer Bluepoint Games

A rumor has been circulating that Sony wants to buy Bluepoint, started by MarsipanRumpan, a ResetEra member. This person has said that his source is very close to the Bluepoint Games’ development team and apparently, Sony liked Demon’s Souls Remake and is currently on the track of closing the deal with Bluepoint.

If Bluepoint gets acquired by Sony, they will be the leaders of remakes, which means that they will help other development teams on their remakes. If this happens, Bluepoint will be making a new game, because they do not want to be called a remake company.

The leaker wrote the following:

“The deal is being finalized and should be announced shortly, the time period I’ve been given is that it’ll happen before February 28,”

This comes to us as a big surprise, mainly because this is the first time we heard about a partnership between Sony and Bluepoint. Nonetheless, it would be great if this comes out to be true.

We have to mention to take this with a grain of salt, because it is a rumor, and rumors do not always come true. We need to sit back and wait to see how this will turn out.
