Cyberpunk 2077 peaks over 1 million concurrent players beating Counter-Strike and Dota 2

With the release of undoubtedly the most anticipated video game for 2020, it was somewhat sure that a definite and impeccable dominatrix would be established. Cyberpunk 2077, the game developed by CD Projekt Red, has launched on numerous digital resellers, such as Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG. While Epic Games and GOG do not hold official real-time stats for player data, Steam proves to us that Cyberpunk 2077 is on the verge of a massive victory.

Cyberpunk 2077 has managed to sell over 8 million units, reaching for the most successful day one launch in the gaming industry. Fabian Mario Döhla, a CD Projekt Red developer, stated, “The Hype Is Real” in the eyes of the short outage yesterday, which ruptured both Steam and GOG. Considering their super sturdy services, the Epic Games Store did not have any issues of this caliber, which somewhat indicates a lower sales number.

To see a single-player game dominating two of the most popular multiplayer games developed by Valve, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Dota 2, is amazing. The current Steam Stats report a player increase over the past couple of hours, which current players align with the highest peak today, confirming that the number of players is still in an ascending phase.

Today’s stats show that Cyberpunk 2077 has reached 1,054,054 concurrent players, which is surely a celebratory purpose for both the fans and developers.

Steam stats for 12.10.2020

Currently, Cyberpunk 2077 has a mostly positive review rating on Steam, which somewhat confirms the hype will continue in the following period. Now, it’s time for us to hop back onto Cyberpunk 2077 and experience the bulky CD Projekt Red’s embodiment in this super exciting Action RPG.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
