Pokemon Go Guaranteed Shiny Celebi, Shiny Rufflet and Shiny Explorer Pikachu Catch

Niantic has decided to surprise us with a shiny Celebi, the “Voice of the Forest” Pokemon. As part of the celebration of the release of the new Pokemon movie, The Pokemon Company is bringing back Jessie and James.

Starting December 14th, 2020, at 8:00 a.m. by completing the limited-time Special Research, you will earn yourself an encounter with the shiny Celebi. Jessie and James will be our guides through the quests instead of Professor Willow.

We have Jessie and James coming, a shiny version of Celebi, but this is not all that Niantic is rewarding us with. We will see the debut of Explorer Pikachu and its Shiny version. The very next day, December 15th, this Pikachu will be featured in the Spotlight Hour together with the bonus “Double Catch Candy.” We might get photobombed by Jessie and James, but there is no mention of which Pokemon will spawn after it.

Shiny Rufflet will be available beginning on December 14th, 2020 at 8:00 a.m. and will leave us on December 17th, 2020, at 10:00 p.m. Rufflet can be seen in Raid Battles and 5km Eggs. As part of the promotion of “Secrets of the Jungle”, the new Pokemon movie, Rufflet together with Hoothoot, Nuzleaf, Drilbur, Cottonee, Dwebble, and other Pokemon will be spawning more frequently in the wild, while Durant will be a rare spawn.

NOTE: We got information saying that Shiny Celebi, Shiny Rufflet and Shiny Explorer Hat Pikachu will be guaranteed shiny catch during the Secrets of the Jungle event.
