The Kalos Region has just joined us in Pokemon GO, but Trainers are asking, where is Froakie? This water-type Pokemon is hard to find as a wild spawn for some reason. We have decided to make a mini-guide on where and when you might find this Pokemon.
Firstly, you would go to places that have water, like rivers, lakes, beaches, or even fountains or are somehow related to the type of the Pokemon, which is a Water-type. If it is raining where you are, it will be an additional boost of Froakie spawning in the wild.
Despite its low spawn rate, do not lose hope, it will appear when you least expect it to. If nothing works, all that is left is to hatch a 5km Egg (very low rate) or use Incense.
Please note Niantic and Pokemon Go confirmed that Lures will not attract Kalos Gen 6 Pokemon due to a bug. They’re still working on fixing it, so we hope to see an announcement soon.
