With Microsoft revealing their games for Xbox Game Pass for January, Sony has followed up with their announcement for the PlayStation Now subscription service’s newest additions. While it may not compete with the Game Pass’ seven games, Sony will still add three great games for the service. The PlayStation Now games for January 2021 are:
- The Crew 2
- Surviving Mars
- Frostpunk: Console Edition

The Crew 2 is an open world racing video game developed by Ivory Tower and published by Ubisoft for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Stadia, serving as the sequel to 2014’s The Crew. The game is perfect for racing games fans as it gives players a persistent open world environment for free-roaming across a scaled-down recreation of the United States. However, The Crew 2 will only be on the service until July 5th.
Surviving Mars is a city-building simulation video game developed by the Bulgarian studio Haemimont Games and published by Paradox Interactive. You get to build your own colony on Mars, supplying it with oxygen and other necessary needs for human survival.
Frostpunk is a city-building survival game developed and published by 11 bit studios. Players take on the role of a leader in an alternate-history late 19th century, in which they must build and maintain a city during a worldwide volcanic winter, managing resources, making choices on how to survive, and exploring the area outside their city for survivors, resources, or other useful items.
