Pokemon Fan and his “Plushie Bois” Project is the Next Big Thing in 2021

We have seen many people getting inspired by our little Pocket Monsters. From designing skins for Among Us to carving 151 Pokemon in pumpkins, the Dark Pokemon edition project, the German police officer, and her crochet Pokemon, it is great to see what the creative outcome is. But, have you ever wondered how some Pokemon might look and act in real life? If your answer is yes, then the following masterpiece is the closest you can get.
Recently, we came across a short animation called “Plushie bois.” It surprised us how the clips looked, so we decided to make a mini-interview with the person behind the 3D animation clips, Kooale325.
We have asked a few questions, so keep on reading to find out how the creative process looked like. But before the interview, we strongly advise you to see the clips Check them out below.
Lucario is my favourite pokemon but its way too big to be a plushie so i did the next best thing :). from r/pokemon
Mudkip! Gonna do mimikyu and totodile next since they were the most requested on my other post. from r/pokemon
Floofy Rowlet. Extra smol for cuteness and so it actually fit into frame from r/blender
Im gonna do totodile after this but leave suggestions in the comments or dm’s if you want me to do ur favourite one! Recently started using colab for rendering so i can do like 1 of these per day instead of 3 per week now lol. from r/pokemon
Does your project have a name?
I just do these as a hobby. Don’t really have a name for it. I call the project files “ Plushie bois” in my computer folders.
How did you come up with the idea? What is the story behind it?
I came up with the idea after watching a tutorial on how to make teddy bears in the blender. I realized that the exact same technique could be applied to Pokemon models. This is great.
What we are interested in is how many videos/short clips have you created so far? And how much time does it take to make such a masterpiece?
So far I have made 4 short clips and a whole lot of still images. As for the time, it usually takes around an hour to set everything up and around 5 hours to render it.
Whoa, that is a lot of time. Is there a team behind you, or do you make them by yourself?
I make them by myself.
We have to ask, what is your favorite Pokemon?
My favorite Pokemon is definitely Lucario.
That being said, we would like to share your art with the other FGR fans, so we would like to ask you if we could share your Instagram, Twitter, Reddit, and whichever social media you have?
Sure! My Instagram is kooale325, and my Twitter is Kooale3256.
