Pokemon Go Kanto Tour Event Featuring 13 Researches/Challenges

Pokemon GO Tour: Kanto will be a one-of-a-kind, unique, never-before-seen event in Pokemon GO, and Niantic made sure to make it as monumental as possible. To reach that goal, they have implemented a total of thirteen Researches/Challenges. You are going to need a minute to process this, we know.

Yesterday, Niantic came out with a detailed blog post about how the event will be constructed, when it will start, which Pokemon we can expect to see, and which kind of Research/Challenge we will have.

The first one explained in detail was the Pokemon GO Tour: Kanto Special Research. This Research does not have a time limit, and at the end of it, you will get a Shiny Ditto.

The second Research, and probably the most interesting of the bunch is the Masterwork Research. When you complete the Research, you will make your PokeDex bling with the Shiny Mew as a reward. This Research will require you to spin 150 unique PokeStops, reach level 40, walk 151km (which is yet to be discussed), and many more.

The next TEN Challenges are the “Collection Challenges,” Named Pokemon GO Tour: Kanto Challenges, each version ( Red/Green) will have a Collection Challenge that has to be completed. These Challenges will be divided in half, the first half being for the versions, and the other half is dedicated to the locations in the original games. Unfortunately, these Challenges have a time-frame, it will end on Sunday, February 28th, 2021 at 7:59 p.m. local time.

Fingers crossed they spread the “Spin 150” PokeStops tasks between all Researches/Challenges! This is yet to be confirmed.

So far we have twelve types of Research/Challenge that we explained in detail.

The last one will be available to every Trainer, even to those without a ticket for the event, and it will have a limited time-frame which is yet to be announced.

Trainers, there will be no deadline to complete the Pokémon GO Tour: Kanto Special Research, or the Masterwork Research you’ll acquire after completing the Special Research.

There is more to this event, so if you want to discover the other features this event will have, check here.
