The pool of Mega-Evolution Pokemon is getting bigger and bigger. A new event is right around the corner, and with it, a new Mega-Evolution Pokemon, Mega Gyarados.
As a debut Pokemon at the Lunar New Year event, we will see Mega Gyarados, a Pokemon that is sure to become one of the most powerful Pokemon ever. Starting from February 9th, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local time, Mega Gyarados will be taking over Gyms, and until February 20th, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. Trainers will have the opportunity to engage in a battle with the atrocious Pokemon.
If and when it gets allowed for us to use Mega-Evolutions in the Battle League, we are sure that this Pokemon will be a vital member of our Pokemon PvP team. Gyarados, in its Mega-Evolution, is highly weak to Bug, Electric, Fairy, Fighting, and Grass-type moves, while it is very resistant to Dark, Fire, Ghost, Ice, Psychic, Steel, and Water-type attacks.
Mega Gyarados has the highest possible CP in game.
During the Lunar New Year event, we will also have an increased chance of encountering the Shiny version of Gyarados, which is red. This version will be a great addition to our Pokedex.
