If you are level 40 or above, you already know about the new type of Candy called XL Candy.
This type of Candy was introduced in the game with the GO Beyond update in Pokemon GO, and it allows Trainers to power up their Pokemon beyond level 40. Only Trainers that have reached level 40 can start using this type of Candy. You are wondering how to get the XL Candy? Well, start catching Pokemon.
Unfortunately, unlike the regular Candy, the Pinap Berries do not have any effect on the amount you get from catching a Pocket Monster, only the level of it decides that. The higher level of the Pokemon, the more XL Candy you will get.
There is also another way of getting XL Candy, and that is by converting the Regular Candy into an XL Candy. The transfer rate is 100 Regular Candy for one XL Candy. There is also XL Rare Candy that works the same way as the Regular Rare Candy.
You can also get them from raiding, trading, hatching, or transferring a Pokemon. Well, that’s not where it all ends, because Niantic and Pokemon Go announced new ways on how can one collect XL Candy. You soon will be able to collect XL Candy when walking with your Buddy and catching Legendary, Mythical, or evolved Pokemon is now guaranteed to reward you with XL Candy. Sounds great, right?
