Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake has been delayed

Ubisoft has announced that Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake will arrive a bit later. This was announced today by the official dev team, who solidified their focus on more successful completion. According to the letter, the delay is caused by polishing factors that require an extended development period.

In December 2020, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake was delayed to March 18, 2021. Now the game faces yet another delay, which doesn’t seem to satisfy the fans at all. The official announcement was posted on Prince of Persia’s official Twitter profile.

Hello Prince of Persia fans!

Since announcing Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake in September, we saw an outpouring of feedback from you on this beloved franchise. It is your passion and support that is driving our development teams to make the best game possible. With that said, we have made the decision to shift the release for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake to a later date. This extra development time will enable our teams to deliver a remake that feels fresh while remaining faithful to the original.

We understand the update might come as a surprise, and we will continue to keep you posted on the progress of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake. In the meantime, we want to thank you all for your ongoing support.

It seems that Ubisoft’s attempt to bring this classic adventure back to life will require more time to finalize things and polish the game completely. While the first time the delay was justified by the fans, we doubt they’ll comprehend the same this time. Nevertheless, the developers need and thank the fans’ support, and they look forward to completing this masterpiece.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
