Valheim sold over 4 million copies

The golden 4 has been reached. Iron Gate’s Valheim has managed to sell over 4 million copies, with the company officially addressing the recent milestone on Steam. Recently, Valheim reached more than 500,000 concurrent players, reaching the top 2 on the overall list on Steam, beating Valve’s MOBA Dota 2.

It’s worth noting that Valheim is still in Early Access. There haven’t been many games reaching this state during this phase. Rarely and very rarely gems like this manage to suffice, particularly during their Early Access.

Having reached over 4 million Vikings, we’re looking forward to seeing what Iron Gate is ready to develop. With an insane amount of Overwhelmingly Positive reviews on Steam, Valheim is expected and destined to reach higher grounds.

When Valheim first hit Steam Early Access just three weeks ago, we hoped that all the hard work our small team put into the game these past three years would get the attention it deserved.

Little did we know just how much Valheim would resonate with all four million of you.

That’s right! Three weeks into Early Access, and we’ve hit another milestone, four million brave souls embarking on the most dangerous feat in over a thousand years of Viking history – trying to make Odin proud.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
