Bethesda is officially part of Microsoft

Microsoft has just announced that Bethesda is officially a part of their team. The acquisition has finally been completed, with Microsoft announcing upcoming exclusive titles coming on Xbox and PC. The acquisition started in September 2021, with Microsoft acquiring Bethesda’s parent company, Zenimax Media.

It’s not only Bethesda who’s among the subsidiary of Zenimax Media, but seven other talented development studios are also joining Xbox. These are id Software, ZeniMax Online Studios, Arkane, MachineGames, Tango Gameworks, Alpha Dog, and Roundhouse Studios.

Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox, has also stated that upcoming exclusives will be coming to the Xbox and PC.

This is the next step in building an industry-leading first party studios team, a commitment we have to our Xbox community. With the addition of the Bethesda creative teams, gamers should know that Xbox consoles, PC, and Game Pass will be the best place to experience new Bethesda games, including some new titles in the future that will be exclusive to Xbox and PC players.

Bethesda has also confirmed the transition to Microsoft with an official video named “Here’s to the Journey”.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. My mission is to lurk and discover secrets, create guides and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, patch notes too. I mostly play FPS and love experimenting in good MMORPGs.
