Bungie’s banhammer strikes again, Destiny 2 ban waves incoming

Bungie’s Destiny 2 has so far been quite an enjoyment, but there are some bothers in both PvE and especially PvP activities. The Season of the Chosen might have been a solid journey so far, but it has slowly been flooded with cheaters that are obviously destroying the playing field. For that reason, Bungie has recently announced that the banhammer is active again, and it’s already started swinging.

Cheesy participants that are cheating in various activities are going to get bonked very soon. As Bungie stated, “The Game Security team has taken a swing with the banhammer. Keeping the playing field level is important to us. Play fair. We’re watching.

Dealing with cheaters in online multiplayer games has always been there and will be for the rest of their existence. Maybe the technology will advance that will allow developers to detect abnormal activities and deal with cheaters in the early stages rather than later.

Whether is that a report feature implemented by the developer or else, it is not ok to let them strive in a game where honest people are trying to be good in the game, for later to get stomped by cheaters, making them want to quit the game once and for all. This sort of possible loss of audience or further absence shouldn’t be tolerated in any online game with a strong community. It has happened in numerous online shooters, and it’s a very unpleasant experience both for the fans and developers. Luckily, Bungie is still tailing recent activities and tries its best in determining any weird occurrences.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
