Pokemon Go Charge Up! Event Announced, Here is Everything You Should Know

After the celebration of the regions, it looks like Niantic will pay their respect to Pokemon types. You already know that in a few days, we will have an event dedicated to the Psychic- and Steel-type Pokemon, so next in line are the Electric-type Pokemon.

The event dedicated to them will be called Charge Up, and will be the same as the Psychic Spectacular and Bug Out! Events. The key is to catch, evolve and power up Pokemon of the designated type during the event.

Pokemon GO Charge Up! Event Start Time and Details

The start of the Charge Up event will be on Tuesday, March 16th, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. and will end on Monday, March 22nd, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. local time. The Pokemon that will appear for the first time in the game will be Tynamo, along with Alolan Geodude, Voltorb, Electrike, Stunfisk, and other Electric-type Pokemon. From 5km Eggs, we might get Pichu, Elekid, Electrike, Shinx, Joltik, Tynamo, and Stunfisk.

As with every event, we will have event-exclusive Field Research tasks that will give us Poke Balls, Ampharos Mega Energy, Manectric Mega Energy and encounters with Electric-type Pokémon. The new Raid Bosses during the event will be Voltorb, Shinx, Blitzle, Klink, and Tynamo for the One-star Raids, and for Three-Star Raids we will have the chance to battle against Alolan Raichu, Alolan Graveler, Magneton, and Ampharos.

The Discharge Pokemon, Manectric, will be debuting in the game as the new Mega-Evolution Raid Boss! Mega Manetric will be accompanied by Mega Houndoom and Mega Abomasnow as well. As a bonus with this event, we will have a higher chance of receiving Evolution items via opening Gifts. Great, right?

We hope that you will get an electric shock from this event, and charge your batteries up because we will need a lot of energy in the next few days.
