Pokemon Go Friendship Day Event Guide: Everything you Need to Know
Hello fellow Pokemon GO players! There have been some changes made to the new Friendship Day, which you already know is all about friendships. The event will start on April 24th, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. and will end the same day at 2:00 p.m. local time.
During these few hours, we will have more encounters with Grass-type Pokemon, and we will have a Collection Challenge which before the changes, the reward was 100,000XP, and now the amount has been increased to 175,000XP.
Trainers, we’re making some adjustments to the upcoming Friendship Day event:
– The Collection Challenge reward will be increased from 100,000 to 175,000 XP.

You will notice green confetti appearing on the map, and that is the way Niantic is celebrating the Grass-type Pokemon in the game. If you trade a Pokemon with a friend during the event, you will have an increased chance of that Pokemon becoming a Lucky Pokemon. This bonus will be active until 5:00 p.m. on April 24th.
The trade distance will be increased to 40km, and we will have an x3 Catch XP bonus during the Friendship Day event. Both Incense and Lures will last for three hours during the event.
