Pokemon Go Kecleon Release is Right Around the Corner

Niantic is getting better and better at introducing new events in Pokemon Go. We have many events dedicated to a certain object, such as Community Day, and soon enough we will have a day dedicated to Friendships and most likely the release of Kecleon. Yes, that’s right, it seems like Kecleon is finally coming in Pokemon Go.

Dubbed Friendship Day, we will have a few hours to complete challenges, catch Pokemon, and other things. The first event will begin on April 24th, at 11:00 a.m. and will end the same day at 2:00 p.m. local time.

During this event, Grass-type Pokemon will be spawning more in the wild and we will have a Collection Challenge that, unlike others, will have a reward of 100,000 XP. Another feature that we will have during the event is the Friendship Day Global Challenge, and for each challenge you finish, Niantic will give you 20,000 XP.

Pretty good, right? But that is not all. Trade Distance will be increased to 40km and we will have a 3x Catch XP bonus too. Both Lures and Incense will have a duration of three hours during Friendship Day and if you decide to trade a Pokemon during those few hours, you will have an increased chance of obtaining a Lucky Pokemon ( this bonus will be active until 5:00 p.m. local time on April 24th).

Now, we have something very interesting to share with you. If you take a closer look at the promotional image for Friendship Day, you’ll notice that Kecleon is hiding behind Tangela.

Does this mean that Niantic and Pokemon Go are teasing the long-awaited release of Kecleon in the game for the Friendship Day event? Does this mean that Kecleon is finally coming to Pokemon Go?
