Here is everything you should know:

  • Increased spawn rate of Lotad, Cacnea and Ducklett
  • Smeargle in snapshots
  • Shiny Smearlge only during the event
  • Vaporeon, Meganium and Trapinch in Raids
  • Event-exclusive Field Research
  • Timed Research
  • Camera Avatar item
  • Camera-themed Gift sticker

Previous Story: The wait is finally over: Pokemon Snap will make its debut sooner than we anticipated. This new game, called Pokemon Snap, was introduced during last year’s Pokemon Presents, and it will allow players to explore and snap photos of their beloved Lentai Islands’ residents. As you know, the flora and fauna on the islands give a mysterious glow, and as a player, you will have a mission to find out how the mystery happened.

As with everything, it seems that Pokemon GO will be celebrating the long-awaited game with an exclusive event dedicated to Pokemon Snap. A text recently discovered in the GM file, thanks to PokeMiners, suggests that during this event Pokemon GO players will be taking snapshots of wild Pokemon.

Pokemon Snap Quests

  • Take a Snapshot of a Wild Geodude, Sandshrew, or Cacnea
  • Take a Snapshot of a Wild Hoothoot
  • Take a Snapshot of a Wild Lotad, Metapod, or Aipom
  • Take a Snapshot of a Wild Luvdisc, Chinchou, or Finneon
  • Take a Snapshot of a Wild Skarmory, Dodrio, Mantine
  • Take {0} Snapshots of Wild Pokémon
  • Take {0} Snapshots of Wild Bug-type Pokémon
  • Take {0} Snapshots of Wild Dark-type Pokémon
  • Take {0} Snapshots of Wild Dragon-type Pokémon

What is strange is that Hoothoot is mentioned many times, which makes us think: Will we finally get the Shiny version of the Owl Pokemon?
