Pokemon GO Sustainability Week Event Binacle Debut

We will have a new event coming in Pokemon GO, called Sustainability Week. Many are puzzled about what this event means, so we decided to clear some things up.

Niantic announced that they have partnered up with the Niantic Sustainability Campaign and will bring us an interesting event that will allow us to earn some in-game bonuses by doing tasks in real life. The event will begin on April 20th, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. and will end on April 25th, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

This event will also allow us Trainers to connect with players from other games developed by Niantic by participating in the previously mentioned Niantic Sustainability Campaign, which will give us the following bonuses:

There is a Tier 1, for which 2,500 activations are needed. In this Tier, five-star Raids will be appearing more frequently. In the next tier, Tier 2, you will need 5,000 activations to receive a free-of-charge bundle with three Remote Raid Passes. The last tier, Tier 3, will need 10,000 activations and you will get 2x Catch XP bonus, together with the bonuses from the previous Tiers. Keep in mind that these bonuses will be activated on Sunday, April 25th, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time.

During these few days Grimer, Drilbur, Trubbish, Ferroseed and Pokemon similar to them will be appearing more in the wild, and Diglett, Tangela, Goldeen, Budew, Cherubi, Finneon and Drilbur will be hatching from 5km Eggs. Niantic will also release an event-exclusive Field Research from which we will earn encounters with Cottonee, Chespin and more Pokemon that were not mentioned. An event-exclusive Timed Research will be available to us too.

The new Raid Bosses will be Vileplume, Alolan Exeggutor, Trubbish and Binacle.

Oh, we were about to forget to mention that we will have a debut of a new Pokemon!
That Pokemon is the two-headed Pokemon known as Binacle, and during the Sustainability Week, Binacle will be appearing more in the wild.
