Pokemon Go to Celebrate the Release of Xerneas and Yveltal with a Special In-Game Event
Pokemon Go has officially been fixed, and we can now battle Team GO Rocket Grunts and Leaders. Besides this, some other features have gotten updates too.
Ahead of everything are our precious PokeMiners, which have discovered evidence about a possible event named Luminous X/Y. Together with the event, they have found bonus texts, quest updates, and a new AR Scan badge, for which all we know is that the badge is called Scanner.
There is not much detail about the Luminous X/Y event, but we guess that the event will be all about Xerneas and Yveltal, which are part of Pokemon X and Y versions. And they are from Gen 6 too.

According to their discovery, each Legendary Pokemon will have a Special Research consisting of 7 steps with a possible encounter with them at the very end of it. The Research quests are named Luminous Legends X and Luminous Legends Y.
Now, if you ask when we expect to see this event in Pokemon Go, we would say sometime in May 2021.
