Elden Ring won’t be released anytime soon

Elden Ring, the upcoming action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, may not be released anytime soon. The game’s scheduled to release on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, but when exactly remains a mystery.

FromSoftware’s next project has been revealed here and there, followed by tons of surprising comments by the community, but nothing concrete regarding the game’s release. It seems that the pandemic heavily impacted the development of the game, making its release date more distant.

Kadokawa Corp, the parent company of FromSoftware, reported its earnings (via TweakTown) for the full fiscal year on March 31, 2022, in which it was revealed that the company is expecting low earnings. One of the development studios from its rows is FromSofware, which is working on Elden Ring, which was confirmed to be a huge project for Kadokawa Corp. It is probably one of the most anticipated titles for the company, and it’s sad to notice that it won’t release anywhere between 2022.

Elden Ring was first revealed in 2019 and has stayed where it is since then.
