Nintendo will be announcing a new model of Nintendo Switch sooner than we think.
E3 2021 is right around the corner, so the media assures the public that the announcement will happen right before the start of the event, which is June 12th. The look of the new model is leaked by an Asian peripheral manufacturer with access to the console.
It will have a 4K image output when connected to a TV, but the size will be unchanged. The screen (OLED this time) will be 7 inches, but there is a noticeable difference between the old and new models, there aren’t any black frames that surround the screen.
The new Switch will be compatible with the current Joy-Con and other types of peripherals and much other stuff.
It will have new support which is a base that goes from side to side of the console, meant to keep it more stable. The new location of the microSD card slot will be on the side of the back under the new support base.
As we mentioned above, this model will be able to connect to a TV through a new dock that will have two USB 3.0 ports and it will also include an Ethernet network port.
With an announcement before E3 2021, the release date will supposedly be in September or October, but Europeans will not see it until November.
Nothing is confirmed yet by any official source affiliated with Nintendo, so take it with a grain of salt. If this happens to be true the model will be announced sometime in the next two weeks.
