Trainers, Niantic, and Pokemon Go acknowledged the issues about Shiny Galarian Ponyta not hatching from Eggs or Research Breakthrough, Espeon, and Umbreon appearing on the evolve button at the wrong times of the day and Eevee not evolving into Sylveon when using the special means.
Now, one of the three mentioned issues above are being solved by Niantic and to make up for the “Shiny Galarian Ponyta” issue they will are adding additional opportunities to encounter Shiny Galarian Ponyta. They didn’t reveal any details about this “event,” and w expect to see more info very soon.
For the Espeon, Umbreon, and Sylveon issues, they acknowledged that there is a problem on their side and that they are investigating and will be fixing it soon.
As per Niantic:
Galarian Ponyta could not be encountered in its Shiny form.
Issue description:Â Trainers could not encounter the Shiny form of Galarian Ponyta from Eggs or Research Breakthroughs from Tuesday May 18 until Monday May 24.
Issue status:Â Resolved. To make up for this issue, we will be adding additional opportunities to encounter Galarian Ponyta (TBA).
Espeon and Umbreon appear on the evolve button at the wrong times of the day.
Issue description:Â This is a visual bug, if Eevee is evolved during the day, Eevee will correctly evolve into Espeon; if Eevee is evolved at night, Eevee will correctly evolve into Umbreon, as intended.
Issue status:Â Investigating
For a small number of Trainers, Eevee may not evolve into Sylveon when using special means.
Issue description:Â When some Trainers evolve Eevee through special means, Eevee may not evolve into Sylveon.
Issue status: Investigating. Please restart your application before attempting to evolve Eevee into Sylveon to mitigate any potential issues.
