Shiny Pokemon are the most wanted Pokemon in the mobile game Pokemon GO. These creatures are rare to find especially as wild spawns. This version has a different color palette than the regular version, and sometimes those colors can make a Pokemon look even cuter than it is.
I am sure that at one point you were wondering which Shiny Pokemon are the rarest?
Let’s start with the “least” rare, which is the Shiny Party Hat Nidorino. As it is with a hat, it was a part of an event in February 2020 that lasted only three hours, and that was it.
The next Pokemon on the list is Shiny Woobat. You can fall in love just by looking at it. But the thing is, the chance of encountering a wild Shiny Woobat is 1 in 500 encounters, which is a lot. And even then it is not guaranteed that you will see one. This version has an alternate green color that makes it desirable for every Pokemon GO Trainer.
Next on the list is Shiny Krabby. At first, it was not that hard to find a Shiny Krabby, but three years ago, it mysteriously disappeared from the game and was nowhere to be found. The chances of encountering a green-yellow Krabby (the color of the Shiny version) have improved, but it is still low.
Shiny Detective Pikachu. This Hat wearing Pikachu is one of the rarest Pikachu in the game, mainly because it can not be seen in the wild, as it was part of a one-time event. Shiny Detective Pikachu could only be caught through the AR camera in Pokemon GO, and it was a feature Pokemon as a photobomb at the pictures taken of a Pokemon.
Shiny Hat-wearing Pichu is placed in the eighth place because this one is even rarer than the previous ones. Witch Hat Pichu is featured only on Halloween events, which means that you get a once-per-year chance of getting the cute Pichu, even in its Shiny version.
Shiny Lunatone, oh what a nightmare. Even though the regular version can be seen as a wild spawn, the Shiny version is another story. The Shiny variant of this Pokemon got released during the Equinox Event that happened last year and after that, Lunatone was featured as a Region-exclusive Pokemon, which made it even harder to catch the Shiny version.
Shiny Clefairy. This one got released by accident but got quickly removed. Just like Shiny Abra, if you happen to get this one through wild encounters, well, you are lucky. At this moment, Shiny Clefairy can be obtained only through the evolution of Shiny Cleffa that can be caught only through egg hatching.
In my opinion, one of the hardest Pokemon to catch is Zubat. This Pokemon is constantly moving around, getting out of the balls, which is a nightmare for me to catch it. Even harder to catch is Shiny Zubat. This version of Zubat was only available in July 2019, when we celebrated Team Rocket GO, and even then it was a pain to obtain the green Zubat, and it even had the lowest chance to find.
Shiny Alolan Marowak. How does this one look like? I do not even know because I have never encountered in the five years that I am playing the game. This one is only available through Raids, so you might have to complete a high number of Raids to get it (possibly).
Next is Shiny Alolan Vulpix. It was part of a July 2019 event, but even though it was announced that it could be seen in the wild, it could only be obtained through 7km Eggs. The Shiny version is even harder to get because you would need to hatch several Eggs. However, now you can catch Alolan Vulpix in the wild, but we do not know what are the chances of encountering the Shiny Alolan Vulpix.
If you remember, there was an event in which only female Pokemon spawned for some time. In that event, we could see a lot of Nidorina, which meant that we had a bigger chance of getting a Shiny Nidorina. Ever since then, I have encountered Nidorina on my screen a maximum of five times, so this also means that the Shiny version is even rarer than the regular version.
The first place on the list goes to Shiny Alolan Grimer. It was part of the same event that Alolan Vulpix was, but the difference is that this one is not able to be found in the wild. And that makes it the rarest Shiny Pokemon of them all.
Do you agree with this list? How many shiny Pokemon do you have so far? We would like to hear from you, so please leave a comment below.
