Respawn Entertainment Career Page Hints A New “Action-Adventure” Project

Respawn Entertainment might be working on a completely new game, judging by the company’s recent Career Page Update. So far, the job title remains shrouded, which means the title is a rather secretive one. No one knows what exactly the company is focusing on. Still, judging by the job listing, the company needs a “Lead Combat Designer,” who would be working on a new, unannounced video game title.

The job listing and the Lead Combat Designer role are in the “New Game Incubation Team” category and are very suitable for experienced veterans who’ve been working in the industry for a long time. According to the official job listing, Respawn Entertainment is looking for a skilled Lead Combat designer to join the incubation team for an unannounced project.

With elements such as enemy design, AI behaviors, combat/weapons, class design, skills/progression, story, and boss encounters, we believe this might be a word about a profound action RPG type of game. It also requires solid experience with Unreal Engine 4, more precisely implementing character animations, script behavior trees, special effects, and system tuning.

The listing also asks for experience with rapid prototyping and passion about first-person shooter games, which combined with the perks and skills, story and boss encounters, it might be a word for another Star Wars game, or a sequel to Jedi: Fallen Order, a game that was created with Unreal Engine 4. Well, considering the success of Fallen Order, it wouldn’t be weird to see another title of the same caliber.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
