Pokemon Go Data Usage Increase Bug is Back, Data Usage has Almost Tripled

If you happen to have updated Pokemon Go to the newest version, you should know that the increased data usage is back.

Unfortunately for us, this is happening on both Android and iOS. The game is using an enormous amount of data, which some say, has tripled from before the update.

Some fans noticed that Niantic changed the status of the bug on their Known Issues page from resolved to investigating. This is a good thing though because it means that developers are working on this nasty bug and hopefully they’ll fix it soon.

Are you tracking your data usage while playing Pokemon Go? Have you noticed any change in the amount of data the game uses?
