Call of Duty: Vanguard Revealed, Destructive Environment, Anti-Cheat, and Possible Ranked Matchmaking

Today’s event in Call of Duty: Warzone finished with the reveal trailer of Call of Duty: Vanguard. Call of Duty: Vanguard arrives on November 5th, 2021. We have seen Activision Blizzard revealing a game within its already existing Battle Royale, Warzone, for the first time. Set in World War 2, Call of Duty: Vanguard will provide as-close-as-possible historical and atmospheric locations.

CoD: Vanguard New and Upcoming Features

After last year’s 80s theme, Activision Blizzard is ready to take the story even further back in history. We’re going back to World War 2, and we’re ready for it. If you’re among the skeptics and do not want to participate in another World War 2 game, worry not. There will be a lot of modernized features aside from the previous World War 2 games. Let’s see a couple of them below.

Destructive Environment

First off, destructive environment. There will be an extended destructive environment for the first time, similar to what Battlefield already has. Seeing large-scale destructions, for example, collapsing a huge building slowly until it cripples out of existence, means a lot to all the FPS lovers. A very nice addition to Sledgehammer Games’ portfolio and the Call of Duty franchise in general.

Anti-Cheat

For the first time, anti-cheat will become a reality on the PC platform, not only for CoD: Vanguard but also for its separate Battle Royale phenomenon, Warzone. The game has lost its “momentum” after it was plagued by cheaters recently. Streamers and influencers have been pushed to depart from the game, swapping to Apex Legends, which could serve as a journal for fresh ideas.

Zombies

Sledgehammer Games will work with Treyarch to bring the first-ever franchise crossover. Since Treyarch is involved, it will include content from a “lore standpoint.” Just like before, the onslaught of the undead continues as it will meet fans’ expectations.

Potential Ranked Game Mode in both Warzone and Vanguard

Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone might add many new features, but we are all aware that something’s still missing. That is ranked matchmaking. For that reason, there is a strong possibility for Sledgehammer Games to introduce a new Ranked game mode, where sweaty, competitive players can showcase their skills. They will receive a reward in MMR points based on their performance during that match, climbing the ladder of ranks, and shuffle from low to high skilled lobbies.

New Warzone Map

Later this year, in collaboration with Raven Software, Sledgehammer Games will create a brand new map for CoD: Warzone. It is expected to be more diverse than the transition of Warzone’s map with the Black Ops Cold War release.
