Escape From Tarkov Bans Around 50 Players Due to a Backend Error

Battlestate Games has mistakenly banned around 50 Escape From Tarkov players due to a backend error. The developers call on understanding, fixing the issue and reverting the faulty bans. According to the developer, the faulty banned accounts are restored and in a healthy state.

The official announcement for this issue arrived from Battlestate Games’ official Twitter profile. You can find the tweet below:

This is not the first time we see faulty bans delivered. Previously, BattlEye has banned more than 50 players. This is slowly becoming to be a frequent issue in Escape From Tarkov. Hopefully, everything settles with the honest and fair players getting their accounts back.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC. 1. I was always of the mind that anyone who claimed they were incorrectly banned was simply because they were actually cheating and just desperately trying to get their account back. That was until I myself was banned. I have spent quite a lot of time through hundreds of posts on their forums coming up with suggestions on how to best combat cheating. I helped bring about suggestions for new events, and even posted every bug that I seemed to come across to help make the game better.

Then I got banned. Out of the blue by battleye. To this day Escape From Tarkov staff simply tell me that I need to speak to Battleye, and Battleye will not offer a single response to my now 7 different unban requests. So that has changed my view quite a bit. Makes me think how many innocent players have actually been banned.

    1. Hey Andrew. I mean they recovered both of the faulty bans. Two times in a row. While no one knows, I am guessing they have successfully restored all the banned accounts. Yes, people might have been banned faulty and all that, but I doubt it. Actually, Imma boot up my game right now and see if I’ve been caught in the washing machine.
