Pokemon Go How to Prepare for Eevee Community Day?

The next Community Day in Pokemon Go is going live on August 14 and August 15, 2021, and now it’s the perfect time to start preparing for the upcoming Community Day featuring Eevee.

Pokemon Go August 2021 Community Day will bring Eevee, Eeveelutions, 1/4 Hatch distance, 3h Lures, 3h Incense duration, exclusive moves, Special Research quest, and Timed Research quest.

Now, we are furious about the current situation and the decreased PokeStop distance, and it seems like many players are going to “skip” this Community Day and enjoy the weekend without Pokemon Go.

Those wondering how to get the max out of this event, worry not, we got your back.

Eevee Community Day Guide

  • Charge your power banks to the max
  • If you plan on walking, check the weather where you live and dress according to it
  • As with every Community Day, there are special Field Research Tasks, so spin PokeStops so you can get those
  • Make sure you have enough Balls
  • Save Pinap Berries
  • Check your Pokemon storage
  • If you can hatch out your shorter eggs and replace them with longer-distance eggs. Don’t forget about the 1/4 Hatch Distance
  • Name all your Eeveelutions/Shiny to get the new moves
  • Get at least 7 hearts with Eevee as your Buddy so you can get Sylveon
  • The Catch Trick. It will save you so much time for CD catching. So, our advice is to practice if you haven’t mastered it yet. Here is the trick: Hold down the Pokeball icon and drag it over the berry icon with your nondominant throwing hands thumb, throw your ball and then release your finger – run away from the encounter

Hi, gamers! You can call me Mr. DComplex. I'm a gamer, a hardcore gamer. My favorite genres are Action RPG and MMORPG. At the moment I'm using my PC as my only gaming platform, but soon I might get a new PS4 from Angel. Update - Angel did get me a PS4, oh wait, it's the PS4 PRO 1TB!!! Much love bro!

  1. No. I am disabled so with the reduction in the poke stop distance I am physically unable to take on an entire community day event. I really enjoyed the last year and all the community events. In fact. Since the changes back I am playing about 1/2 the time and spending my money on other activities.

    1. Same here. I can’t walk for long distances and on bad pain days it is even harder. The increased distance was a huge help

  2. Yes participating but it’s going to be about 100° outside so we shall see!! Need to master the catch trick it sounds like.

  3. No I will not. My bed room is a huge spawn area. I usually get 20 – 30 at least shiniez on cd. I am handicapped so this is great for me. Sadly everything going on is not only affecting me. My 8 yr old granddaughters love the game. Eevwe is ones favorite pokemon. But knowing what is going on and in support for me and other players will not participate

  4. I will continue playing pokemon go no matter what changes although yes it is sad that things went back to the way they were in pokemon go I have noticed alot of people who are upset about this are probably just being lazy yes covid 19 is a real thing and I have had it, but its nothing compare to the plague. I mean it was like a simple cold so everyone talking about covid delta I think your worrying yourselves over something that won’t be that bad although it does affect everyone differently and if you do have underlying health issues may be worse but other then that I think its important not only for pokemon go but for people to kinda go back to some kinda normalcy I mean inlove the exercise and I think its very important part of the game.

Just want to say thank you to Niantic and everyone who was apart of making this game. You all did great and I am sure it shows in the numbers.

    1. …And the plague is nothing compared to getting getting your arms chopped off by a wood chipper. What kind of random logic is this? Pokemon go has always required people to go to physical locations, having to get 40m closer to a stop doesn’t feel more “normal” than 80m. You still have to exercise to get there, but the increased distance allows for more people to participate. It was an arbitrary distance to begin with so I don’t get why Niantic are so precious about this 40m distance bring the gold standard as if they did research proving it’s the magic number. From a business standpoint, more people playing equals more money for them, so I don’t get why they’re so dead set about this.

    2. It’s not laziness, the interaction distance is reduced to the point where you have to be right on top of the pokestop/gym to spin it. Most of the time this means crossing busy wide streets(Broadway, 6 lanes of traffic) or standing in the middle of the street. From public transportation you can’t even swipe stops or gyms anymore. Running low on items.

  5. I am in total support of the effort to restore interaction distance back to 80 m. Have not played since
the distance reduction and will not play until 80m is restored.

  6. No community day for me. It bothers me disabled ppl were able to play and no longer can. I will quit the game if they have to.

  7. Nope. Participation in any event and money spent in the store is tethered to Niantic’s willingness to understand the real world problems caused by a lingering pandemic and the ridiculous pokestop spin distance. If the pandemic was the reason for expanded distance, then why was it changed when the pandemic is still going on? This Delta variant is attacking children as much as adults. Niantic will never see another dime from me until they wake up to the world around us.

  8. I cant wait for this day and i will b playing for my husband he is unable to attend the event with me but i wont let him miss it or get behind on his pokemon

  9. I will definitely be participating in the Eevee Community Day. I don’t care if they reverted back to how it used to be. All of you that complain about the changes can go fuck yourselves.

  10. Yes, I will attend.
Personally, I think thise who are boycotting are wrong. I will hold back what I really think, but it was clear they would eventually remove the changes they out it for covid. I think they are doing it too soon, but they are reevaluating. They never said they would be anything but temporary. But, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
That said, thank you for the information in this article!

  11. I have to work in EMS Saturday but will try to sneak some playing in. Sunday I will be all about some Eevee catching.

  12. I’ll be participating only long enough to evolve my shiny Eevee to shiny Sylveon. I have enough candies, just need to get the hearts.

  13. No. And if Niantec continues to harm paralyzed people we will have to take it up with their sponsors like Starbucks and McDonald’s during the coming weeks.

  14. I am so down with the Evee event the evolve evees r my favorite Pokemon! I have all of them and quite a few of the lightning ⚡ fire and water . I also have 2 psychic and 2 dark and 1 leaf and finally finally 1 fairy ‍♀️ type

  15. these whiney lazy people are cracking me up.. why start playing if you knew it takes movement to play. yes, I will be playing. excited to have a reason to get out and walk.
