Star Citizen Offers Free To Play Period Until August 27th

Star Citizen, whose development is unlikely to be finished in the near future, is hosting a free-to-play period. Starting today until August 27, CGI offers a free-to-play period for Star Citizen, making it a free-of-charge download to anyone interested in the game. If you’ve ever wanted to visit the universe from a first-person perspective, then this might be your great chance to do so.

Star Citizen is a complex and vast space flying simulator with a story-driven campaign. The game’s current state might be engulfed with a couple of issues, but the title itself deserves decent attention. This free build offers six ships accessible for players. Each one of the ships will provide a taste of distinct career paths and playstyles.

According to the official developer statement:

From now through August 27th, Star Citizen is completely free to download and play. Enjoy access to six iconic ships, each giving you a taste of the distinct career paths and play styles awaiting you in the ‘verse.

·Anvil Arrow – Bring order to the system
·MISC Prospector – Strike it rich mining valuable ore
·Crusader Mercury Star Runner – Smuggle interstellar contraband
·Consolidated Outland Mustang Alpha – Sleek & stylish
·Origin 100i – Taste peak performance
·RSI Aurora MR – Try your hand as a jack-of-all-trades

The free fly period has already started. If you’re willing to download the game, you can do so by visiting the official website since Star Citizen is not available through any third-party reseller platform. The free-to-play offer is paired with a discounted Started Packs in the pledge store to strengthen its crowdfunding assessment.

Star Citizen is still in the alpha period, and it’s awaiting further polishing before it gets to its designated spot. For a star flying simulator, it definitely deserves a try.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
