Trainers, Niantic, and Pokemon Go are celebrating the release of the latest Pokemon movie, Pokemon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle with a new crossover event.
The Secrets of the Jungle event is underway and the Mythical Pokemon Zarude is now available for the first time in the game. Players are able to encounter Zarude by completing the free Special Research story Search for Zarude.
The Special Research story Search for Zarude is a five-stage Research featuring various tasks, rewards, and Pokemon encounters.
As part of the event, players can also complete event-exclusive Field Research tasks and encounter Shiny Pokemon.
Secrets of the Jungle Field Research Tasks and Rewards
- Hatch 2 Eggs: Audino (can be shiny)
- Catch 10 different species of Pokemon: Rufflet (can be shiny)
- Defeat 5 Team Go Rocket Grunts: Rufflet (can be shiny)
- Make 5 Curveball throws: Diglett (can be shiny), Pidove (can be shiny)
- Use 5 Berries to help catch Pokemon: Dwebble (can be shiny), Exeggcute (can be shiny)
- Take a snapshot of your Buddy: x2 Pinap Berry, x4 Razz Berry
Pokemon Go Secrets of the Jungle event runs from October 1, 2021, at 10 AM, to October 10, 2021, at 8 PM local time.
