New World 1.0.2 Client Update Mandatory

To get back into the New World servers and continue your journey, you will need to exit the game completely. The reason for this is that update 1.0.2 also introduces a client update that went live just a couple of moments ago on Steam. To get it, you must restart the game completely. If you have ever forgotten to leave the game, then may this message serve as a reminder.

Before you are eligible of getting into New World’s server once they come back online, make sure you completely restart the game and maybe even check Steam’s library for an update.

New World’s patch 1.0.2 will add a couple of changes to the game, including a core mechanic connected to the faction influence on attacking territory. There will no longer be an easy conflict as the bug abuse is no longer present and will allow companies owning territories to have a breather before they hop into another war. Some people just never quit.

The servers are still under maintenance as 1.0.2 slowly trickles in, and they should be up in no time. So get ready, and make sure you have everything you have to get on the servers.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
