New World Crouch-Heal Bug Being Addressed in an upcoming patch

Update: The servers are already down for maintenance.

Earlier today, New World suffered from a nasty bug that has been the culprit for many unjust wars won. People have been abusing that healing bug, which allows you to stay on a point and be healed constantly. Territories have been lost, players have been frustrated, and Amazon Games was pushed to address this issue as soon as possible.

Hence, a new patch is arriving in New World in an hour, but the Amazon Games’ tackle on this exploit is not as sufficient as it should be. Nevertheless, it’s a temporary fix that will most probably be mended to a better and permanent one in the near future.

We are aware of a crouch exploit that has surfaced due to this most recent update. We will be restarting each region individually to pick up a change to mitigate this issue.

Downtime will be approximately 15 minutes long. Please find the restart times for each region below:

Region Restart Time
Central Europe  Today 7:00 AM
South America  Today 11:30 AM
US-East  Today 12:30 PM
US-West  Today 1:30 PM
Australia  Today 2:00 PM

We are currently working on a more permanent fix which will be released once we have confirmed that the fix is valid.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
