Amazon Games shuts down New World’s economy due to a new dupe exploit

Another "coin transferal disabled"

It appears that New World’s shenanigans will never get old. Do you remember earlier when Amazon Games disabled all sorts of wealth transfers due to a gold and item glitch? Well, there’s something similar going on at the moment, which has also resulted in another “coin transferal disabled.”

It appears that the highly anticipated MMORPG is facing another gold dupe issue after its last one that got fixed in around 48 hours. This is impacting the whole New World economy, but it’s also derivative towards the players. Some of my friends that have participated in buying the duped items got banned, especially those who have purchased the major luck trophies in significant numbers. I do not plan to defend them at all, as they might have been a part of this gold dupe issue, but what if they genuinely weren’t? Are we going to see a database rollback, maybe?

It seems that everyone was aware of this issue, and driven by the game’s current content (nothing majorly entertaining to do in the game atm), players have decided to try this Major Loot Luck Trophy duplication on their own, which is why exactly New World had shut down the whole economy in New World, once again. So if you see the coin transferal issue popping up, do not be scared. It’s not you.

So, what exactly is going on with New World? Is it finally getting closer to its ending era? The MMO seems to have lost its early days’ sparks, and these kinds of issues relentlessly push players away for good. If I talk for myself, a part of me resists getting back in when I think of how many people had been abusing this and are sitting on tons of gold atm.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
