New World Wealth Transfers Come Online Very Soon

Nothing more than the Gold Dupe Fix

It appears that New World will re-enable all forms of wealth transfer as the developers have got rid of the Gold Dupe exploit for good. This bug was persistent in the closed beta and also reported on the forums. The gold and item dupe is made by using the same method, which is a bit mind-blowing considering it has been reported on the New World forums before.

Amazon Games has already come out with a statement that nothing else will be fixed, and this patch should only address the gold dupe issues. It is what it is. The server maintenance happens at the following times, and it’s approximately going to take around 3 hours of server downtime.

According to the official forum post:

Greetings Adventurers,

We will be holding downtime tonight to re-enable all forms of wealth transfers, including player-to-player trading and the trading post across all regions. Due to the importance of wealth transfers and their impact on the experience in-game, we wanted to prioritize re-enabling these mechanics as soon as possible.

In our notice addressing disabling wealth transfers 5.5k, we mentioned a make-good to ensure that there was no lasting impact due to this change. This make-good will come in a future update so please stay tuned!

Downtime is slated to last approximately 3 hours (~180 minutes).

Please take a look at the table below for the downtime:

Region Restart Time (in your local timezone)
Central Europe  Today 4:00 AM
South America  Today 4:00 AM
US-East  Today 4:00 AM
US-West  Today 4:00 AM
Australia  Today 4:00 AM

Please note that this is not our regular weekly update. Please stay tuned for information on the status of that update. As soon as we have more information, we will share it with you.
