Alan Wake 2 Revealed at The Game Awards, Launches in 2023

Remedy's First Survival Horror Game Steps In

Remedy Entertainment is finally making a sequel to Alan Wake. The writer’s story continues in their first venture into survival horror, revealed at this year’s Game Awards. This will be Remedy Entertainment’s first survival horror game ever.

The Creative Director at Remedy Entertainment, Sam Lake, also revealed that he had been secretly working on Alan Wake 2 with a small core team, dreaming up different incarnations of the concept. In a recent blog on PlayStation, he stated: “We never gave up hope. If anything, we grew more determined as years passed. Each version of the concept felt better than the previous one. It is easy to feel happy and excited now that Alan Wake 2 is finally happening based on our latest iteration of the concept, and not the ones that came before that. We’re so happy to be at this point, after so much hard work, sharing our excitement with you”.

In Alan Wake 2, continue the writer’s story and experience Remedy Entertainment’s first foray into survival horror. Coming to PC on the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in 2023.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
