Remedy Entertainment has only been leaking hints and teasers for Crossfire X, but now it seems like they are ready to make an announcement. The official Twitter account just posted this strange tweet that says: “Attention Mercenaries…Black List transmission intercepted….decrypting.” This could very well mean a big reveal at the upcoming game awards event!

You can’t have too much of a good thing, and CrossfireX has proven to be one game players cannot get enough of. Based on Smilegate Entertainment’s popular multiplayer shooter, gamers everywhere are eagerly awaiting this adaptation by Remedy into a single-player offline campaign that will release soon! Executive producer Boo stated in July 2021 that we should expect it within “the near future,” which translates to somewhere around Q1 2022, even if another delay is faced.
CrossfireX is a new first-person shooter exclusive to Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. It’s been developed on Remedy’s Northlight Engine, which makes it look reasonably sharp; as for The Game Awards next week at 5 PM PT on December 9th? You’ll have a chance to see 40 – 50 games worth with “a lot” in 2022 or 2023.
