Pokemon Go January 2022 Steelix Mega Energy Will no Longer be a Reward from Research Breakthrough
Trainers, Niantic and Pokemon Go announced that the Research Breakthrough for January 2022 is Onix, and completing the Research Breakthrough will give you Steelix Mega Energy. Unfortunately, Research Breakthroughs in January 2022 will not be rewarding Steelix Mega Energy.
Niantic and Pokemon Go announced that players will not receive Steelix Mega Energy from January 2022 Research Breakthroughs and a new Timed Research rewarding 200 Steelix Mega Energy will be available.
PSA: Everyone can now get initial Mega Energy to mega Steelix. Then all you need to do is walk for Mega Energy without ever doing a Mega Raid!
The new Timed Research will be available from Saturday, January 1, 2022, at 12:00 a.m. to Monday, January 31, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. local time that will reward a total of 200 Steelix Mega Energy.
Due to an unforeseen issue, Steelix Mega Energy is unable to be received from Research Breakthroughs. In its place, a Timed Research will be available during the month of January which will reward a total of 200 Steelix Mega Energy. Read more: https://t.co/ylZA7cm3ud

Onix and Shiny Onix will be the Research Breakthrough rewards in Pokemon Go from January 1, 2022, at 1 PM PST, to February 1, 2022, at 1 PM PST.
