Trainers, the last Timed Research for this year is underway and new tasks and rewards are now available as part of the Pokemon Go New Year 2022 celebration event.
The Pokemon Go New Year 2022 event runs from December 31, 2021, at 10 PM to January 4, 2022, at 8 PM local time. The Pokemon Go New Year’s Timed Research has four steps, each step has three different tasks and rewards.

New Year’s Timed Research 1/4
- Catch 10 Pokemon: 10 Pokeball
- Walk 1km: 250 Stardust
- Make 5 Curveball Throws: 5 Razz Berry
- Rewards: 2022 XP, Hoothoot, and 500 Stardust
New Year’s Timed Research 2/4
- Catch 7 different species of Pokemon: 5 Great Ball
- Hatch an Egg: 1,000 Stardust
- Evolve 3 Pokemon: 5 Nanab Berry
- Rewards: 2022 XP, Hat Pikachu, and 500 Stardust
New Year’s Timed Research 3/4
- Power up Pokemon 5 times: 5 Pinap Berry
- Use 5 Berries to help catch Pokemon: 500 XP
- Earn 5 hearts with your buddy: Wurmple
- Rewards: 2022 XP, 1 Poffin, and 500 Stardust
New Year’s Timed Research 4/4
- Make 5 Great Throws: 5 Ultra Ball
- Earn a Candy walking with your buddy: Wobbuffet
- Send 5 Gifts to friends: 1 Kings Rock
- Rewards: 2022 XP, Hat Slowpoke, and 500 Stardust
Also, there are event-exclusive Field Research tasks and rewards. There are four different Field Research tasks that one most complete for Pokemon encounters.

- Catch 5 Pokemon: Hoothoot
- Catch 10 Pokemon: Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle
- Catch 15 Pokemon: Slowpoke
- Earn 2 Candies walking with your buddy: Slowpoke
- Walk 3 km: 1 Kings Rock
