Update: Trainers, the 40km trade distance bonus will go live starting from December 24, 2021, at 10 AM PST, until December 27, 2021 at 10 AM PST.

Niantic and Pokemon Go are celebrating the Holidays with a special in-game event that runs from December 16, 2021, until December 31, 2021. As part of the event, and as a special bonus, they will increase the trading distance to 40km.
Players will be able to trade further with the new 40 trade distance limit, for two days in December. The bonus will be active from December 25, 2021, at 10 AM, to December 26, at 8 PM local time.
They should’ve increased the trade distance for the entire month, but hey, 2 days is better than nothing…I guess. Make sure to take advantage of this bonus and enjoy the Holidays.
