Pokemon Go February 2022 Events

The longest month of the year, both physically and mentally, is about to end, and the month of love is about to begin. In the Pokemon GO world, that means that new content will be arriving soon.

The most important event that will be happening in February is the Pokemon GO Tour: Johto, which will begin on February 26th, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time. There will be some experience for the Trainers that will decide not to purchase the ticket, but the real deal is the experience that comes with the ticket. Trainers that will buy the ticket before February 10th will have exclusive access to the Season of Heritage’s Timed Research.

The monthly bonus that will be active as part of Season of Heritage will be Increased Candy XL from hatching Eggs and 2x XP from hatching eggs. February Community Day event will be featuring the special Cottonweed Pokemon known as Hoppip, and this Pokemon will be appearing more frequently in the wild. The Breakthrough encounter for February will be Espurr, and for the first time in the game, the Shiny version of Espurr will be included in the Breakthrough encounters. Trainers will be getting some love from Niantic this month, and they will express this feeling towards us by including multiple Five-star Raid Bosses, which will be the following:

  • From February 1st until February 9th, 2022, as a Five-star Raid Boss we will see Regirock with the attack Earthquake
  • From February 9th to February 16th, Registeel with the attack Zap Cannon will be featured as a Five-star Raid Boss
  • Normal Forme Deoxys and its Shiny form will replace Registeel from February 16th until February 19th
  • Next in line is Attack Forme Deoxys and its Shiny form, and it will be featured as a Raid Boss from February 19th until February 22nd
  • From February 22nd to February 25th, the Five-star Raid boss will be Defense Forme Deoxys and its Shiny form
  • The last Raid Boss of February will be Speed Forme Deoxys and its Shiny form, and this Pokemon will join the game on February 25th and it will leave on March 1st
  • February 26th, 2022 will be a special day for Pokemon GO Trainers, as Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Lugia, and Ho-Oh will be featured as Raid Bosses as part of the Pokemon GO Tour: Johto
  • In Mega Raids, from February 1st, 2022 until February 15th, 2022, we will be able to challenge Mega Houndoom
  • From February 15th until March 1st, Mega Ampharos will be featured as a Mega Raid Boss

As with every month, this month we will be having the special Raid Hour events, and they will be the following: On February 2nd, Regirock and its Shiny form will be a Raid Boss February 9th will have Registeel and its Shiny form as a Raid Boss February 16th will feature Normal Forme Deoxys and its Shiny form.

On February 23rd, the last Raid Hour event of February will have Defense Forme Deoxys and its Shiny form The Spotlight Hour event, which runs from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. will have the following Pokemon and bonuses:

  • February 1st, the first Spotlight Hour event will bring us Litleo with 2x XP for evolving Pokemon
  • On February 8th, we will see Spritzee and 2x Catch Stardust bonus
  • Koffing will be the featured Pokemon on February 15th, along with a 2x Catch XP bonus
  • The last Spotlight Hour event of the month will be on February 22nd, and Voltorb will be the featured Pokemon with a 2x Catch Candy bonus

Other events that will be happening in February are: Lunar New Year is an event that will begin on February 1st, 2022 and will end on February 7th, 2022. Valentine’s Day will begin on February 10th, 2022, where Trainers across the globe will be celebrating love together with a Fairy-type Pokemon that will be making its debut. This event will end on February 14th, 2022. Go Tour Johto Leadup Event will begin on February 18th, 2022 and it will end on February 25th, 2022. This event will be focused on the preparations for the upcoming Pokemon GO Tour: Johto with a focus on PokeBalls.

For last, during the whole month on every Monday, Trainers will have a 1 PokeCoin bundle which will have a Remote Raid pass and other items.
