Pokemon Go Max Trades per day Increased to 150 for a Limited Time
Trainers, Niantic and Pokemon Go resolved the issue affecting trades and this feature is available again for all players. They also increased the max number of trades per day to 150.
Niantic and Pokemon Go fixed the bug affecting trading, and as compensation, they increased the max number of trades per day to 150 for a limited time. This will be available until January 24, 2022, at 10 AM PST, so make sure to take advantage of the bonus before it ends.
Trainers, we’ve resolved the issue affecting trades and this feature is available again. We’ve increased the max number of trades per day to 150. This increase will last until Jan 24 at 10am PST to make up for lost time trading and earning XL Candy. Thank you for your patience.

What are your thoughts about this? Do you think they should also increase the trade distance?
They should definitely increase the distance.. they should actually have a world wide trade day so we can trade with our friends from around the world!! Would be amazing!
