Escape From Tarkov Quest Allows Players to Recover Fence Reputation

New Fence Quest for Scav Karma Recovery

After today’s Escape From Tarkov update, the developer Battlestate Games has decided to shuffle in a surprise. While the update was focused on the backend servers, no one knew we’d see a new event. So, what kind of an Escape From Tarkov event is this? Namely, it’s a quest that would help you recover your negative Scav Karma.

On Twitter, Battlestate Games posted a message saying:

According to translate thanks to Bakeezy, it means the following:

Rijiy, you got really lucky. You don’t have to hide all the time. There is a way to get out from fence’s blacklist, it is like amnesty but better. But there is one thing. As I got told, you would have to work for somebody. I dont know what they mean by it. Also now both bears and usecs can get their reputation back. And I dont agree with it at all, you killed Purgen by accident! You should have a way to get karma back, but those PMCs are killing our boys all the time. Anyway, go visit fence while it is still possible.

Namely, this event allows you to repair the bad Scav Karma for all those who lost it by killing Santa accidentally. Before, BSG’s COO Nikita felt like there should be a quest to help the players get back on track with their Fence reputation, as he mentioned a solution is coming.

Precisely said, there are 5 types of quests added. Each one of them will allow you to recover your Scav Karma. You can find them all below:

  • Compensation for Damage – Trust
  • Compensation for Damage – Wager
  • Compensation for Damage – Wergild
  • Compensation for Damage – Barkeep
  • Compensation for Damage – Collection

One of those quests should be available for pickup at Fence, and it’s only available to those with negative Scav Karma. The quests will likely last until Monday, so make sure you complete them by then. I am not sure how exactly the quest delivery works, but only one of them will be available at a time. I am also unsure if you would get another one of them if your scav karma remains in deficit after the quest completion.

After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
