Pokemon Go Season of Alola Brings Gen 7 Pokemon

Pokemon GO fans, we are more than delighted to report that tomorrow a new season will start in Pokemon GO, and it will be called Season of Alola.

Starting from March 1st, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. Trainers will have the chance to see Rowlet, Litten, Popplio, Pikipek, Yungoos, Comfey ( in Hawaii only) and Jangmo-o. The evolutions that will also be available in this Season are Dartrix, Decidueye, Torracat, Incineroar, Brionne, Primarina, Trumbeak, Toucannon, Gumshoos, Midday Form Lycanroc, Midnight Form Lycanroc, Hakamo-o and Kommo-o. As an addition to the Egg pool, we will have Yngoos, Pikipek, Rowlet, Litten, Popplio, Rockruff and Jangmo-o.

The most important features that this Season will have are the Special Research lines that will be available during the entire Season. The ones that will manage to complete these lines will have the chance to buy a ticket for US$4.99 for an end-of-Season Research. The first Special Research is named Melemele Island Special Research, the following one that will be available from March 22nd is called Akala Island Special Research, and one that will be available from April 12th is called Ula’ula Island Special Research. The last two pieces of research are called Poni Island Special Research (beginning on May 10th) and End-of-Season Special Research (beginning on May 25th).

As for Community Day events, the first Community Day will happen on March 13th, with Sandshrew and Alolan Sandshrew as the highlighted Pokemon. The next Community Day event will happen on April 23rd and May 21st. More info on these in the upcoming days. As we mentioned in our previous posts, this Season’s GO Battle League will not have any ratings but it will have new opportunities and experiences.

In cities, Pokemon such as Alolan Rattata, Alolan Meowth, Magnemite, Alolan Grimer, Jolteon, Makuhita and Minccino will be appearing more in the wild, and in the forests, Pokemon like Paras, Exeggcute, Aipom, Pineco, Electrike, Rufflet and Yungoos will be encountered by Trainers.

In the mountains, Pokemon such as Cubone, Alolan Diglett, Alolan Geodude, Flareon, Baltoy, Golett and Archen will be appearing in the wild while locations with beaches and water will see Alolan Exeggutor, Staryu, Dratini, Vaporeon, Tirtouga, Frillish and Corphish.

Trainers in the Northern Hemisphere will see Lotad, Bagon, Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Spring Deerling and Foongus and Trainers located in the Southern Hemisphere will have Nincada, Beldum, Sewaddle, Autumn Deerling, Chespin, Fennekin and Froakie.

In 2km Eggs, Pokemon such as Yungoos, Pikipek, Chespin, Fennekin, Froakie, Cubone and Exeggcute will be hatching, and Pokemon that will hatch from 5km Eggs during this Season are Rowlet, Litten, Popplio, Tyrogue, Skarmory, Bonsly and Mantyke. 5km Eggs that received as rewards from walking will have Phantump, Munchlax, Happiny, Shieldon, Dedenne and Cranidos, while 10km Eggs received from walking will have Dratini, Riolu, Bagon, Beldum, Deino and Goomy.

During this Season, bonuses such as Increased Incense effectiveness while moving, Increased damage for Pokemon participating in raids remotely and guaranteed Gifts from PokeStop Spins will be active. Other bonuses that will be featured are two free Raid Passes per day by spinning Gym Photo Discs and Increased Incense duration to 90 minutes. The last item available during this Season is the Alola-themed avatar item.
