Pokemon Go’s upcoming Valentine’s Day 2022 event will bring a new Fairy-type Pokemon into the game. According to a recent datamine, we might get a chance to catch Alcremie and some of its forms.

The day of love is about to come and to honor that, Niantic will be throwing a special event dedicated to Valentine’s Day 2022.

There isn’t much information about the event at the moment of writing, but we do know that Valentine’s Day 2022 event will start on February 10th, 2022 and will end on February 14th, 2022. There will be a debut of a new Fairy-Type Pokemon, and we will have many rewards, activities, and bonuses.

Many started speculating about what will Valentine’s Day event bring us, and here are some of the predictions.

Certain Pokemon might have an increased spawn rate, and different Pokemon will be hatching from Eggs. The next speculation is a variation of Raid Bosses during the event and new event-exclusive Field Research tasks. There might be a Valentine’s Day-themed Special Research and a Collection Challenge.

The bonuses might be the same as last year, such as an Increased chance to become Lucky Friends, an Increased chance of getting a Lucky Pokemon from a trade, and an increased Trade range.

Let’s talk about the debut of the new Fairy-type Pokemon. A recent datamine discovered that there are signs of Alcremie and its forms (not all of them though). The world’s greatest Pokemon Go dataminers discovered a new text in the GM file hinting at the release of a new Pokemon, in our case Alcremie and its Normal, Ruby Cream, and Ruby Swirl Forms. However, we do not know whether this particular Pokemon will be released for the upcoming Valentine’s Day event.
