Nintendo eShop In Russia Put In Temporary Maintenance Mode

Russian players will not be able to buy things from the Nintendo eShop for some time, as announced by Nintendo.

Recently, several Russian players have reported that their payments from the Russian Nintendo eShop are not processing and after a while, Nintendo came out with an official statement saying that the Nintendo eShop in Russia will be temporarily placed into maintenance mode, mainly due to the suspension of payments in rubles.

It is not clear if this is Nintendo’s way of pulling out of the Russian market like the rest of the companies, but they have said that they will share more updates in the upcoming days.

What do you think about this? Is it a problem or is it Nintendo’s way of telling us something?
