The Pokemon that sparks the most mysteriousness around itself, and probably the rarest one in Pokemon Go is Ditto. Ditto can take the form of six Pokemon in the game, and many players want to know what are the current Ditto disguises, how to catch a Ditto, and what are the odds of getting a Ditto in Pokemon Go.

Ditto is a well-known Pokemon that can mimic its target’s whole moveset, including its CP, HP, and more. This Pokemon is extremely hard to find.  Ditto has a Shiny form available in Pokemon Go too. Even harder to find than its regular form. The chances right now of encountering Ditto are roughly 3%, and in Pokemon Go, that is a very low chance of encountering the unique Pokemon.

However, Ditto has a list of its possible disguises that changes monthly. Because of this list, many problems emerged such as a Shiny Pokemon that has its regular form as part of Ditto’s list becoming a Ditto upon catching it. Good thing is that Niantic listened to its users and fixed the problem.

If you get face-to-face with a Shiny Pokemon, do not worry because that Pokemon will not turn into a Ditto when you catch it with your PokeBall.

If you are on the hunt for Shiny Ditto, there are a few things you should know:

• If you encounter a wild Shiny Pokemon, it CAN NOT be a Ditto
• If you encounter a non-shiny Pokemon, it can be a normal Ditto or Shiny Ditto
• If you encounter a Shiny Pokemon from Ditto’s disguise pool, it cannot be a Ditto

A Ditto in the wild is remarkably hard to encounter, but do not despair. It might appear on your screen as a different Pokemon (a Pokemon from the list above) and it will reveal itself only after catching it. Until then, you are clueless.
