PS Plus And PS Now Merge Into New PS Plus Service

For a while now there have been rumors that something could be happening over at Sony, and the day when everything gets revealed has finally come.

Sony announced that both of its services, PlayStation Plus and PS Now would merge, thus creating a service with the PS Plus branding, but with three tiers called PS Plus Essential, PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium. The service will be launched in June this year.

The first tier, called PS Plus Essential will be priced at £49.99/$59.99 per year, and it is similar to the one we have already had, with access to online multiplayer and many other old PS Plus subscription goodies. The monthly price of this tier will be £6.99/$9.99.

The next tier that is more pricey than the previous one is the PS Plus Extra. This one will be priced at £83.99/$99.99 per year, and it will have everything from the previous tier, plus up to 400 downloadable PS5 and PS4 games. Once the service launches, the games available will be Death Stranding, God of War, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Mortal Kombat 11 and Returnal. The monthly price of this pack will be £10.99/$14.99.

The last tier that the new PS Plus service will have is the PS Plus Premium. The users that will pay £99.99/$119.99 per year will have everything from the previous two tiers, including PS3 game streaming and the ability to download and stream PS1, PS2 and PSP games. Besides this, the PS Plus Premium users will be able to get time-limited game trials. The monthly price of this tier will be £13.49/$17.99.

  1. B***** Brilliant
I want the old ps1 and ps2 and ps3 classics back and psp games!!!
I hope we get trophies also

  2. What does that mean the PS+ Premium users will be able to get time limited games trials. I’m confused

  3. I imagined the guy in Jurassic Park saying “we could have a coupon day” when the ‘Essential package was announced. Greedy SOB’ ‘s are making us quadruple or more dip for games most of us have owned and still own in some cases. Corporate greed at its worst.
