The company known as Konami might be changing its name very soon, as they want to “take on new challenges”.
The new name that they plan on taking is Konami Group Corporation. Per their statement, they have said that they want to shift their focus and aim for further growth of their company. If the name passes during a shareholder’s meeting, it will be changed on July 1st, 2022.
Konami is known for its multiple holdings in business related to sports, amusement and many other sectors including the recent business in NFTs, where they marked success with the Castlevania NFTs. While there aren’t any official statements on which project they will be taking once they change the company name, we hope that they will succeed in whatever they decide to do.
