Trainers, Niantic and Pokemon Go will be hosting a Limited Research make-up event featuring Shiny Exeggcute.

Limited Research Day: An Egg-citing Spring Surprise went live on April 16, 2022, featuring Shiny Exeggcute, but unfortunately there was an issue affecting the chances of encountering Shiny Exeggcute. To compensate. Niantic and Pokemon Go will be hosting a new Limited Research make-up event on April 30, 2022, from 11 AM to 2 PM local time, featuring Shiny Exeggcute. We hope they boost the shiny rates during the event.

Niantic and Pokemon Go also announced that there will be a Timed Research during the make-up event. The Timed Research will reward 3 Exeggcute encounters (can be shiny) and a Shadow Exeggcute via Team Go Rocket battles. Sounds great, right?

Niantic and Pokemon Go acknowledged the mistake and we are happy to hear that they will be launching a make-up event. We know that some players didn’t enjoy the Limited Research Day, and hopefully, things will be better on April 30, 2022.
