Bohemia Interactive Hard at Work to Unroot Arma Reforger’s Disconnection Issues

Arma Reforger's first developer report reveals the focus of Bohemia Interactive.

On Friday, the developer of Arma Reforger, the standalone client that’s supposed to serve as a foundation for building Arma 4, revealed that they are aware of plenty of issues. Unlike the expectations to receive another game update, we only received a developer update that’s likely to be followed by multiple unroots of some of the existing issues.

This is the first developer report in which a series of game issues have been discussed. The priority remains whirling over the same problem, the disconnections. That is why Arma Reforger reviews on Steam are swarming with negative commentary. Hence, they remain the primary target of removal. Rendering glitches when using scopes and workshop administration features are also being mentioned but are not as impactful as the recurring disconnection issues.

As it is the first time the franchise arrives on the Xbox console, it also pushes the developers to add y-axis orientation and other control improvements that should contribute to a better gamepad experience. Last but not least, this is the first developer update for Arma Reforger, which will grow into a series in the coming period parallelly with the game’s course of development. Without further ado, below you can find the focuses on which Bohemia Interactive is currently working.

Arma Reforger Developer Update – Operations

One of our biggest focuses at the moment is working to resolve any remaining critical or blocking performance issues for players. In particular we’re working to solve the reoccurring disconnection issues, random players being kicked with session errors, and other various server and client crashes.

Of course, there are plenty of other fixes and changes you can expect in the near future, such as:

  • Fixing render glitches when using scopes;
  • Workshop administration features; and much more…

For our gamepad users, we will be adding options to change gamepad y-axis orientation and several other control improvements.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
